  • Department of Economics established in our college on June 2004, as college open. The Economics department is working under the social science faculty. This department makes Annual plan as per University norms and implements it strictly. In our department students take admission as per university rules.
  • Aurangabad District in Maharashtra is considered as India’s Drought Prone District and Gangapur Tahsil belongs to the same District. Students coming to our college are from rural area and economically backward area, that’s why we try to guide them in the field of professional skills to fulfill their daily needs. We organize various extracurricular activities to enhance their knowledge. For this we conduct the tours to visit Sugar, factories, Bank Self-help group etc.
  • To offer update knowledge, the department conducts various programs such as group discussion, seminars, Test management also motivates the teachers to enhance their research knowledge especially for participation in state and national seminars and conferences.
  • Faculty of our department Asst. Prof. Jadhav D. S. has passed the SET Exam conducted by the Savitribai Phule Pune University in 27/12/2020.
  • Economics survey was conducted by the department of Economics at Mauje Sonwadi and Rahegaon in the year 2016 and 2020. An academic performance of Economics department is very good. Students of Economic department settled in their life in various sector like Business, farming, Banking, Teachers profession and police department.

Chhatrapati Shahu College was established in 2004. The Economics Dept. was also established at the same time and started catering education to first year students. The first graduation batch came out in 2007. The department has always remained in touch with the students of the two streams i.e. Arts & Commerce.
