Inculcating Social Service, Values among Students through Outreach Activities

 

Introduction:

Chhatrapati Shahu Arts, Commerce and Science College, is a self financed college. College is certified with ISO 21001-2018 Quality Management System. College has always remained active in curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities. All the campus premises including class room is under CCTV camera surveillance that ensures security especially for girls. We prefer to conduct regular teaching periods. The college publishes college magazine during each academic year. This activity is supportive to develop writing skill, thinking capacity, exposure to thoughts. Indirectly this activity support to standard of education. Our goal is to keep this college in Marathwada the youngest in spirit and dynamism.

Areas of Priority and Thrust:

Extension activities are the best examples of national development, these are implemented in the society itself or people are involved in these activities.

 

·         College has organized one day workshop for surrounding farmers with the help of Tehsil Agricultural Department. Agricultural Officer Hon. R.D. Shinde addressed the farmers to increase the use of organic fertilizers. 69 farmers were present.

·         With the participation of students college has made socio-economic survey of Rahegaon village.

·         College NSS volunteer students have also conducted health survey of Sire-Saygaon Village.

·         College students have collected food and fund to help the flood affected people of Kolhapur district.

·         College has organized Health check up camp for students.

·         College has organized blood donation camp in the campus and also contributed blood along with staff and students in 2019

·         College students have also collected and raised fund from Lasur station village to help the Kerala flood affected people.

·         College has organized Covid-19 Vaccination Camp at college dated on 01/11/2021 and 20/07/2022.

·         College has actively participated in Swach Bharat Mission.

·         NSS Department organized Rangoli Competition.   

·         Organized Financial Literacy Program in 2022.

·         College NSS Dept. undertooks Tree Plantation programme every year.

·         College Participated in Majhi Vasundhara Campaign & NSS Cell Distributed saplings to students & they planted it in their surroundings.

·         Organized Special Lecture on occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Birth Anniversary.

·         College NSS students participates every year in Cleanliness Campaign at Devi Dakshayani Temple in Annual Fair.

·         International Yoga Day Celebrates every year.

·         Plastic Free Campus Campaign through NSS Department in 2019.

·         On occasion of Anti-Tobacco Day  students taken oath in 2019.

·         Organized Multiple Choice Questions Test and Essay Competition on the Eve of Mahatma Gandhi Birth Anniversary in 2019.

·         College Organized Lecture on Personality Development in 2019

·         College Celebrates National Integration day every year on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel & organized Ekta Daud, Kirtan (awareness programme) on Deaddiction, Student Counselling on Job Oriented Education, Parent-Student-Teacher Meet, Organized Special Lecture on Business and Entrepreneurship Development.
